Position Title:Accountant

Salary: Ksh 40,000- 60,000 Gross

Brief Company Profile:

Our client is a Cosmetics company (make-up, nail polish, lipstick etc) located along Mombasa Road Nairobi seeking to hire an Accountant. The primary role is to handle a medium but busy accounts office handling end to end accounting

Duties and responsibilities

·             Handling Final accounts for subsequent handing over to Auditors

·             Filing taxes and regular interaction with KRA

·             Budgeting, cash flow management, payroll, reporting, records management and accounts analysis

·             Ensuring compliance with various legal requirements regarding licenses, rates, and tax returns

·             Facilitating annual external audits

·             Updating supervisors on the company financial position

·             Monitoring Balance sheet and Income Statement account movements and ensuring that they reflect the correct balances

·             Ensure all relevant account reconciliations are performed and corrective actions taken in  time

·             Handling management accounts and regular reporting

Qualifications & Skills

·             ACCA/CPA qualifications

·             Degree/ Diploma in Business/ Accounts is preferred

·             Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience as an accountant

·             Exposure to International Financial Reporting Standards

·             A person of attested integrity

·             Hands on Accounting experience with busy office

·             Result oriented, self-motivated and energetic.

·             Computer literacy and good knowledge of accounting packages

·             Good communication and presentation skills at a senior level

·             Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines

·             Should be a team player
